While some projects can be easily placed in “normal” boxes, others are entirely different and full of their own unique life.
Earth Day San Marcos 2026 Campaign
Earth Day San Marcos is a vital celebration for the community. This festival is held annually at The Meadows Center, and is collaboratively planned by several important groups in the area including several university departments, the City of San Marcos, local environmental groups, and small businesses. This event draws significant crowds. Inspired by the social media campaigning for SXSW, this social campaign was designed to help inform festival-goers, and create a sense of “FOMO” to draw folks that may not have already known about the festival. In all, this campaign garnered over 11,000 viewers.
At the Confluence, the 2025 annual report for the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment was an incredible project to put together. The copywriting was mainly completed by Anna Jones, but the visual vernacular, elements, selected photos, and ArcGIS StoryMap features used were hand selected and designed by Sarah. This piece tells the story of The Meadows Center for audiences of all kind, including funders, visitors, university administrators, partners, researchers, and so many more.
This case study outlined the SXTXST course at Texas State University. The case study was designed to incorporate visual elements that played with the SXSW 2026 branding.
Virtual Reality: The Eco-Consciousness Machine

Sarah’s graduate research focuses on leveraging alternative digital media platforms, content, and tools for educational purposes on a grand scale. The biggest questions in exploration: “How can these media products be ethically used toward ethical public education campaigns?”, “How do we reach populations that may not realize they could benefit greatly from education in a specific area?”, “Can one media product be designed in a way that can reach (and be received well by) widely ranging audiences?” This research project and paper begin to explore these questions and potential answers.
Clean Coast Texas Green Stormwater Infrastructure Tour
Clean Coast Texas, funded by the Texas General Land Office, is a collaborative focused on coastal resilience in the Lone Star State.
To illustrate the value of Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) for local community leaders and participants, Clean Coast Texas developed the GSI Tour.
My part in the development of this interactive StoryMap was graphic design, audio/visual production, and social media launch strategy.
The Transmedic Theme Park
If you’re not familiar with Miyazaki’s Spirited Away, please treat yourself to one of the best, and weirdest films of all time.
If you’re not familiar with the concept of Transmedia Storytelling – you’re actually immersed in it every day.Their lore fleshed out between movies, comics, television shows, audio stories – these franchises build their cannon through intricate webs across media types.
Spirited Away is not traditionally transmedic, however, it lends itself well to practicing the art.
Wingfield Collective
Feedback Sessions
The feedback sessions offered emerging performing artists an opportunity to show their works in progress and receive feedback from audience members through written responses to artist questions using principles of the Liz Lerman Critical Response Process.

These sessions offered a meaningful engagement between traditionally separate constituencies. Audience members felt included in the artistic process, and the artists were able to communicate more directly and meaningfully with their audiences and receive constructive feedback in real time. This collective has taken a hiatus as we navigate the Post-Pandemic world, but will hopefully be up and running again soon.
